Last year Jordan Brand threw in a wildcard, dropping the all-new ‘Gamma Blue’ colorway for 2013 to mixed reviews. In 2014 we all finally get what we were waiting for: the crisp, clean and beautiful colorway that’s apparently so legendary, they had to rename the blue hue ‘Legend Blue‘.
The color code may be going by a different name now, but the ‘Columbia’ Air Jordan 11 is back at last. Now Jordan 11 Legend Blue instead of ‘Columbia Blue‘, the original white colorway of the Air Jordan 11 accented with light blue and black is the final version we’ve been waiting for since Jordan Brand made a Christmas-time retro of the famous patent leather clad Air Jordan a yearly tradition.
Originally released in 1996 and worn by Michael Jordan for exactly one game that season, the ’96 NBA All-Star game, this Air Jordan 11 has only returned once before, in 2001. Thirteen years later, they’re back again at last, and more legendary than ever.
